Cosmoplast in deal with Technip-Coflexip

Cosmoplast, part of Group Harwal, has won an exclusive production and sales partnership agreement with Technip-Coflexip in the Gulf and Middle Eastern countries for the manufacture of Coflexlite, a specialised RTP (reinforced thermoplastic) pipe for use in the oil and gas exploration and production industries.

The new product is likely to eventually replace all existing oil pipelines throughout the region.

Cosmoplast has already allocated the project a brand new production facility in Abu Dhabi, due to go into full RTP production by year-end.

"This agreement combines the technology of the world's leading oilfield services and flexible pipe systems manufacturer with the largest thermoplastic pipe producer in the Middle East, to introduce an advanced pipe specifically designed for locations and conditions such as those that exist throughout this region," stated Jim Dymnock, general manager, Cosmoplast.
