Abu Dhabi: The Christian Coptic Orthodox Church of Egypt in Abu Dhabi appreciated during Christmas celebrations the UAE's religious tolerance policy under the leadership of President His Highness Shaikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai and Their Highnesses the Members of the Supreme Council and Rulers of the Emirates.

During the prayer on Thursday, patrons of the church extended their best wishes for the new year to the UAE leaders and wished more progress and prosperity to the UAE people.

The Egyptian Ambassador to the UAE, Tamir Mansour, conveyed the congratulations of Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak to the Coptics living in the UAE and his appreciation of the UAE's religious tolerance, security and stability of the Egyptian community — both Muslims and Christians — are enjoying.

Addressing the Mass, Religious and Judicial Adviser at the Ministry of Presidential Affairs Ali Al Hashemi said both teachings of Islam and Christianity promote noble values of good, love and peace.

He also highlighted the religious and moral approach the UAE is following in its domestic and foreign policy.
