Cooking gas prices hiked in Ras Al Khaimah

Public urged to be alert against price manipulation amid new hike in gas cylinder prices

Ras Al Khaimah: The price of cooking gas cylinders has increased by 14 per cent this month, according to the Department of Economic Development in Ras Al Khaimah.

Faisal Bin Fares, Director of the Liaison Office Department, said that international prices of gas cylinders affect local prices.

The price of small cylinders was raised to Dh57. The price of medium sized cylinders was raised to Dh114 from last month's price of Dh100.

Big-sized gas cylinders now cost Dh228, which is Dh28 higher compared to last month's price.

Also, Bin Fares emphasised the importance of checking prices before filling, and urged the public to call 8007333 to report cases of price manipulation.
