Company fined Dh1.5m for hiring workers illegally in Dubai

Workers need to have a labour permit and labour card

Dubai: The Ministry of Labour has fined a company Dh1.5 million for employing 15 workers illegally.

Maher Al Owaid, Assistant Undersecretary for Inspections’ Affairs at the ministry, said the company has also been referred to the public prosecution.

Al Owaid explained that it is not permissible for any company registered with the ministry to hire any worker without obtaining a labour permit, in addition to a labour card.
