Come back in black

Black is stark, tantalising, dramatic, elegant, chic. It is also versatile, and irresistible. You just cannot commit a sartorial blunder wearing this colour. Casual, semi-formal or deeply formal, there is no ocassion to which black will not adapt. It's also probably the reason why black always sells – especially at Christmas time. Ask Mireille Sim, operations manager, Donna Karan, and she'll tell you how her stores just can't seem to satisfy the insatiable appetite women have for black.

"Anything in black – especially pants and suits – we just can't have enough of them. In evening wear, and because Donna Karan is such a fan of the 'colour', we always have a whole collection in black,'' says Mirielle.
