CBSE results out today

Last updated:

More than 2,000 students from 24 schools in the UAE will receive the results of their key Central Board of Secondary Examination (CBSE) today.

Counsellors will open a phone hotline at the Indian High School for inquiries from students needing advice on their next move.

A letter from Rama Sharma, a public relations officer of the CBSE in New Delhi to the counselling centre at the Indian High School reads: "The tele-counselling will start from the day the grades are announced and will continue for a fortnight. Queries should relate to career guidance, choice of subjects and psychological problems."

Ashok Kumar, principal of the school, said: "Students in the UAE get impatient when the CBSE announces results. That's when counsellors step in."

Kumar said students with below-average results often want to know what their future options are.

The results will be made available online at www.cbse.nic.in.
