Their colourful lives are no different from fictional characters portrayed in films depicting the underworld.

But they are as real as you and me – having walked on Dubai's streets, dined in its restaurants and checked out its shops.

The only difference is that they are wanted by the UAE police and have arrest warrants issued against them on charges ranging from murder and fraud to drug trafficking and financial crimes.

Dubai Public Prosecution confirmed none of them has yet been caught.

Some of them, like gangster Chhota Rajan, drug lord Mohammad Lodahy and scamster Madhav Patel, for instance, are wanted by Interpol as well.

If you believe that you know the location of one of these fugitives DO NOT attempt to take any action on your own.

The people on this list are wanted for serious and violent crimes and for all you know could be armed and dangerous.

Immediately call Dubai Police at 999 or 04-201 3472.
