Three-digit plates were sold at very high prices. Plate number 123 fetched Dh132,000. Plate number 106 went for Dh69,000. The total value of 17 three-digit plates amounted to Dh1,019,000.
The auction started with plate number 102, which was sold for Dh66,000. Plate number '103' was purchased at Dh62,000. Plate number 104 went for Dh67,000.
At the end of the day, Brig. Gen. Abdul Rahman Rafee announced that the upcoming auctions would be for three, four and five-digit numbers.
Dubai General Traffic Department, Deira, has set May 4 as the date for registration for people interested in attending the auction for further special licence plate numbers.
These auctions will be held until all numbers are sold. Dubai Traffic Department will announce on television, and in the local newspapers, the date of upcoming auctions. The same numbers will also be published in the traffic site www.dxbtraffic.gov.ae.
