Car catches fire a few metres away from Dubai petrol pump

Dubai: A car caught fire at petrol station near Festival City but quick response from Civil Defence and fuel attendants averted what would have been a disaster.

The car went up in flames just a few metres away from the fuel pumps.

Civil defence crews were called in and managed to extinguish the fire with help of fuel attendants on Saturday.

“It is a minor fire that originated from the car engine. No injuries were reported,” Dubai civil defence spokesperson told Gulf News.
