Capitol Hotel lines up array of activities
Capitol Hotel will hold daily activities such as face painting, cartoon shows, flower decorations and a lot more during the Dubai Summer Surprises (DSS) which will be relevant to all nationalities, families and children, said Jean Samman, managing partner, Capitol Group of Hotels.
The hotel's restaurants, Xanadu, Savage Garden, Bazerkan and the hotel's conference rooms will host these events. They include high involvement activities for children during all the theme weeks of Dubai Summer Surprises.
"During the Flower Surprises theme, children can participate in flower drawing and painting workshops, while in the Cartoon Surprises theme, children can come dressed as their favourite cartoon characters to win a host of prizes.
"During the Colour Surprises children can learn to paint and draw in the presence of an expert supervisor. The hotel's pastry chef will help children decorate their own cake during the Sweet Surprises theme week, and a Knowledge quiz will be held for kids aged four to eight during the Knowledge Surprises theme week.
"Ice Carving demonstrations will be the highlight of the Ice Surprises theme week, while Arts Surprises, Heritage Surprises, Adventure Surprises and Back-2-School Surprises will also see a similar range of exciting activities such as water sports activities, making their own greeting cards, Arabic henna designing, and various arts and craft activities.
DSS and hotels are partnering for the first time in an effort to stage events at the hotels during the theme weeks.
DSS 2003 will start with the Flower Surprises on June 19, followed by Cartoon Surprises, Colours Surprises, Sweet Surprises, Knowledge Surprises, Ice Surprises, Arts Surprises, Heritage Surprises, Adventure Surprises, and will end with Back-to-School Surprises.
