The Cabinet meeting was chaired by Sheikh Sultan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and was attended by Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Foreign Affairs.
Sheikh Hamdan briefed the Cabinet about his visit earlier this month to South Korea, China and Japan. Sheikh Hamdan's visit was aimed at boosting the UAE's ties with these countries, particularly in areas of economy and trade, investments and tourism.
The three memoranda approved were regarding endorsement of bilateral health cooperation protocol with Syria, the structural re-organisation of the Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries and one dealing with amendments of the federal law No. 4 for 2000 on the commodities and stock market.
The Cabinet further reviewed a memorandum from the Federal National Council (FNC) containing recommendations on the performance of the Ministry of Water and Electricity and the General Authority for Water and Electricity.
