Business groups to attend networking
More than 500 business people from Dubai and the northern emirates are expected to attend a networking evening on Tuesday night.
Members of more than 20 business groups have been invited to attend the fourth annual Back-to-Business event, which aims to promote networking between the various business groups. This year it is being held at Al Bustan Rotana Hotel, Dubai.
This year's event is being organised by Roger Wilkinson, who is events coordinator for the British Business Group.
In the past it has been hosted by the American and Swiss business groups.
"It is called Back-to-Business because it is held after the summer break," explained Wilkinson.
"The groups and all their members, along with representatives from consulates and embassies, are invited to attend. Also this year we are opening up the event to all business people who are interested in learning more about business groups."
Wilkinson says the evening will provide business people the chance to make good contacts. "It is a big networking evening and it also gives the groups an opportunity to promote what they do."
Sponsored by MMI, the evening will include the giving away of four business class tickets to Europe, thanks to Emirates and Swiss International.
A three night stay for two people at the Fullerton Hotel in Singapore, and a three night stay at Taj Exotica, Maldives, is also being given away thanks to Fusion International LLC.
Tickets for the event can be bought through business groups for Dh60 or at the door for Dh70.
