Boat engines distributed to fishermen

The emirate's Department of Agriculture and Fisheries distributed 88 boat engines yesterday to fishermen from different areas of Ras Al Khaimah.

Abdullah Khalfan Al Shoraiki, who heads the department, said that 66 of these engines were of 75hp and 22 were of 115hp.

He said 110 marine cranes have been distributed to the fishermen at half price as part of the ministry's assistance programme.
