Adults and children urged to utilise platform to showcase talent

A small blogging initiative is turning into a forum for children and adults alike. I refer to Talent Share and the continuous creative process that goes on within it.
With the motto ‘A talent or knowledge within you is to be shared', everyone is invited to present their creative contributions, in terms of non-performing arts such as painting, drawing, poetry writing and short story writing. Children, especially, are encouraged to send in their work.
Membership is increasing each day and it has brought together members of the community from various areas — even Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, India and Oman.
All members make it their responsibility to comment, guide and encourage the children who are participating. Safety, moral values and the focus on good education is also instilled among children.
The blog has also inspired adults to exhibit their creative skills, which has automatically made it a choice for many online visitors, every day.
Innovation and creativity separates this network from other similar websites.
From January 2010, the introduction of monthly themes has been introduced, in order to be in tune with the changing weather and ongoing development within the region. The current theme is rain, winter and the season's hot topic — Burj Khalifa.
Participating children and parents have been excited about it and this has resulted in some interesting creative submissions online already.
I am presenting to Gulf News, one of the art pieces on display. It was submitted by Mesha'al Nazdn, a pupil [in] the first grade [at] Our Own English High School, Sharjah.
The details he has conveyed in his art work clearly mark the importance of guiding children to observe closely what is happening around them and then allow them to express it.
I invite all art teachers and parents to use this creative opportunity to showcase the talents of children, their students and even their own skills through this initiative.
