Blaze ravages paper recycling site

Dubai: A huge blaze broke out at a site for recycling paper in Al Quoz Industrial area number 3 behind Al Ghurair University on Monday.

No injuries were reported in the fire. A Civil Defence spokesperson said they received the report at 4.30pm and teams from Al Quoz, Al Rashidiya, Al Ghusais and Al Hamriyah centres went to the site of the fire.

The wind fanned the blaze, which made dousing operations difficult. Firefighters battled the blaze and brought it under control by 8pm. He said the cause of the fire could not be ascertained.
