Blaze hits Sharjah apartment building

Sharjah: A  fire erupted at a residential building in Al Wahda Road, Sharjah at 11.30pm on Thursday.

Dozens of families were evacuated from the building. The blaze was brought under control by civil defence.

Firefighters from headquarters, Samnan and Muwaileih stations joined in the effort.

No injuries have been reported so far, according to Sharjah Police.  The cause of the fire is yet to be established.

Civil defence handed the site to the fire experts of Sharjah Police for further investigation.
