Big Ticket Abu Dhabi: Indian expat from Kerala wins Dh150,000 after 32 years abroad

Abu Dhabi: An Indian expat who has been living in Saudi Arabia for over three decades has won Dh150,000 in the Big Ticket Abu Dhabi Series 276 weekly e-draw.

Suseel Kumar Chittari Thodikayil was overjoyed after receiving the unexpected windfall in the first weekly draw of the month.

“Really, I am so happy. Thank you so much,” he said over the phone to show host Richard, who called to deliver the good news this week.

“I work in a private company. I’ve been here for 32 years and have been buying tickets for almost five years now,” said Kumar, who is part of a 24-member group that pools money to purchase tickets.

Kumar won with ticket number 016923, which remains in contention for the Dh25 million grand prize draw on July 3.

Meanwhile, two other Indian expats also won Dh150,000 each in the same draw.
