Foreign Mnister Sheikh Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa stated here yesterday that the Bahrain government had not received a request from the United States nor had it agreed to the use of existing U.S. forces to strike against Afghanistan.

He told local dailies that Bahrain's stance on terrorism is very clear, where it opposes all forms of terrorist attacks and is ready to cooperate and participate in any international joint efforts aimed at bringing perpetrators to justice.

The minister stated that Bahrain supports the move to hold an emergency meeting of the Organ-isation of Islamic Conference at the foreign ministers level to take a firm stand towards aggression against Muslims and Islam, such as the attempts to associate terrorism with Islam.

He said this is important to avoid associating violence with the Arabs and Muslims.
