Multi-awarded actress Nora Aunor, known as the country's "superstar," with a strong following from the masses, said she will be endorsing President Gloria Arroyo who started her campaign yesterday. "It's good to choose someone with experience and a good track record," said Lulli, the daughter of President Arroyo. She has been called to remain active in the 90-day campaign trail of her mother who is the presidential candidate of the ruling Lakas party. Aunor, on the other hand, said she remained quiet about her new role in government.

Sources said Fernando Poe supporters approached her earlier, but she rejected them. She had accompanied Poe when the latter endorsed former President Joseph Estrada when the latter ran for the presidency. She revealed that Estrada used to hit her when they were lovers when she was still a new star. At that time, she joined the protesters who took to the streets after the abrupt ending of the impeachment trial of Estrada in the Senate in December 2000.
