A treasure trove of ancient artefacts of Christian heritage will go on public display at the Catholic Art Museum of the Archdiocese of Ernakulam-Angamaly. Museum Director Fr Ignatius Payyapilly said here yesterday that the 'treasure house' would be declared open by the Apostolic Nuncio to India, Rev Pedro Lopez Quintana.

On display would be rare artefacts dating back to 13th century. They were collected from ancient churches. They include tabernacles, wooden flowers, candle stands, both wooden and metallic and holy vestments of 18th and 19th centuries made with silver and golden strings.
