Committee tasked with determining strategic direction of forum
Dubai: The Government of Dubai Media Office (GDMO) announced the formation of an organising committee to be tasked with the development of the Arab Media Forum (AMF).
The organising committee will be chaired by the director general of the Government of Dubai Media Office (GDMO), Mona Al Merri, with the Director of Government Media Affairs Maryam Bin Fahd as vice chairperson, in addition to the appointment of representatives from the GDMO and Dubai Press Club (DPC) as members.
Members of the Arab Media Forum Organising Committee include Muna Bu Samra, Saud Alderbi, Salem Bel Youha Abdullah Al Mansouri, Adel Omar, Sadiq Jarrar, Adel Ebrahim and Nadine Allahham.
The committee will be tasked with determining the strategic direction of the forum’s programme; developing media plans and identifying priorities; applying best practices to keep up to date on the latest developments and expand AMF’s regional and global partners; working on areas of improvement and timely executions; preparing operative plans; in addition to coordinating and managing hospitality affairs and participations.
Mona said, “Over the past eleven years, the AMF has gained momentum in assessing the media landscape, offering the required support for media experts and decision makers through recommendations and insights on the most prominent developments in the industry. “
Mona added that the new organising committee will benefit from the young Emirati leadership capabilities that have formed the new organisational structure of GDMO, stating that their expertise will open up new horizons towards establishing the forum’s position regionally and globally.
The 12th edition of the Arab Media Forum (AMF) will be held from May 14-15. Registration for the two-day event is open for those wishing to participate from inside or outside the country. Online registration can be submitted through the forum’s website: www.arabmediaforum.ae no later than May 1.
