Alert for Dubai residents: New LPG cylinder seal – check before you buy

Dubai: Residents in Dubai will now notice a new yellow security seal on LPG cylinders distributed across the emirate.
The updated seal has been introduced as part of enhanced safety measures to help consumers easily identify authorised and tamper-proof cylinders.

Emirates Gas, a wholly owned subsidiary of ENOC Group and a leading LPG supplier in the UAE, introduced this new feature on June 18.
This is part of the company’s ongoing efforts to enhance safety and ensure the integrity of LPG cylinders in circulation. All authorised distributors were informed of the change, with the notification period extended until June 23 to facilitate the transition.

The move aims to bolster consumer confidence and uphold Emirates Gas' commitment to maintaining the highest safety and quality standards in the industry. The company urged residents to purchase LPG cylinders only from authorised distributors and to report any irregularities to local authorities.

Emirates Gas said it continues to implement stricter safety measures as part of its nationwide operations.
