Al Garhoud bridge traffic to be diverted

Al Garhoud bridge will be closed to traffic in both directions from 2 to 9am tomorrow, police said yesterday.

The bridge will undergo regular maintenance work, and police called on motorists and pedestrians to heed traffic signs which will guide them to diversions and alternative roads during this period.

Dubai Municipality has been reviewing plans to expand the Al Garhoud bridge including the construction of another bridge and upgrading the existing one. The construction will start early next year.
