Al Ain sign three coaches

The Al Ain executive committee has signed three new coaches to lead their senior, U-16 and U-14 handball squads in the forthcoming season according to Sulaim Surour Al Shamsi, member of the executive committee, and general secretary.

The Al Ain executive committee has signed three new coaches to lead their senior, U-16 and U-14 handball squads in the forthcoming season according to Sulaim Surour Al Shamsi, member of the executive committee, and general secretary.

Algeria's Dorwas Abu Sofyan will coach the first division team. The other two trainers Tunisia's Mohammed Lotfi Al Bahi and Egyptian Ahmad Jaber are to lead the U-16 and U-14 outfits. Abu Dorwas had earlier worked with Sharjah handball team for one season before moving to Kuwait for four years. His technical team of Mohammed Al Bahi and Ahmad Jaber had also been working in the Gulf region for a long period. Al Bahi was in Bahrain for 13 years while Jaber worked with the Saudi teams for 11 seasons besides one more season ('99-2000) with sporting club in Egypt.

The three coaches arrived here a couple of days ago and started their stint with the club's handball squads.

Meanwhile, former Al Ain senior handball team coach Hashim Eshag was appointed as supervisor of the juniors category as well as goalkeeper's coach. His former teammates Khalid Mukhtar and Yousuf Saeed were also appointed as junior team assistant coach and manager respectively.

Both the Al Ain U-16 and U-14 handball teams leave for Hungary for a two-week warm up camp. The mission includes the two junior coaches Mohammed Al Bahi and Ahmad Jaber, Khalid Mukhtar, Yousuf Saeed and 26 players. The juniors are due to take part in a three-day friendly tourney during their warm up camp along with four Hungarian teams before they return on August 24.
