7,000 visitors expected at three-day exhibition starting today

Al Ain: Emirati job-seekers and school-leavers hoping to further their careers and education will be presented with a host of opportunities at the Al Ain Education and Career Fair opening here today.

The three-day fair will be held at the Al Ain Convention Centre under the patronage of Shaikh Nahyan Bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research. It will be a dual platform, said the organisers, for education providers and leading employers searching for talented UAE nationals in an effort to fulfil their Emiratisation quotas.

The organisers also expect that thousands of Emirati school-leavers will be able to explore higher education opportunities at several major universities and training institutions from the UAE and other countries such as the UK, Turkey, India and the US.

With more than 7,000 visitors attending the fair last year, the Al Ain Education and Career Fair returns this year with its regular features, including a psychometric assessment centre and a career counselling centre. Qualified Emirati counsellors will be on hand to provide advice and guidance to visitors on the career paths most suitable for them.

The event will be open from 10am to 7pm, with the ‘ladies only' timing from 10am to 2pm tomorrow.
