Al Ain Sports and Cultural Club has finalised sponsorship deals with 10 companies for various games besides the one signed with Al Habtoor Engineering for football.

Mohammed Khalfan Al Rumaithy, Chairman of the Executive Board of Al Ain Sports and Cultural Club said: "Ten more companies have come forward to sponsor Al Ain Club teams in various games and with this the total sponsorships we have finalise for the 2002-2003 season is Dh15 million.

This includes the Dh5 million sponsorship for our football team by Al Habtoor Engineering, signed on Sunday."

Al Rumaithy signed 10 different deals with the representatives of the sponsoring companies at the Hotel Inter-Continental here yesterday.

Ahmed Seddiki and Sons will be sponsoring the under-21 football team, while Al Sayiegh Jewelry's logo will be carried by the under-18 football team. Al Jaber Group and Damas Jewellery will be sponsoring the under-16 and under-14 football teams, respectively.

The Al Ain Club's Football Academy has attracted 711 Furniture as their sponsors for the 2002-2003 year, while Sasan Trading are the sponsors of the Club's swimming team.

Al Ain's volleyball team is sponsored by First Gulf Bank and their Gymnastics team by Mohammed Rasoul Khori. Sivelco Engineering and Al Ain Dairy will be sponsoring the tennis and handball teams respectively.

While Al Rumaithy presented the representatives of each of the 10 sponsoring companies the Al Ain Club's shield, players of the respective teams presented the Club's colours to the sponsors.

Each of the teams will wear the logo of the companies involved in their sponsorship during their competitive games.

"We thank the private companies that have come forward to sponsor various teams of the Al Ain Club. We have done well in the past and we hope to continue and achieve some good results which will fetch our sponsors good mileage," Al Rumaithy said.
