Ajman parking fees to be unified by May

Ajman: Parking fees will be unified to Dhs2 per hour in the morning and evening in Ajman.

The new fees will take affect on May 1, engineer Omar Bin Omair Al Muhairi, manager of General Services Administration, told Gulf News.

The new parking fees will make it easier for motorists as confusion often arose over charges.

Residents often faced problems over payment for not reading instructions on parking machines properly.

Paid parking in Ajman starts from 8am to 1pm and from 5pm to 9pm from Saturday to Thursday. The parking fee for one hour is currently Dh2 during the day and Dh1 in the evening.

But from May 1 it will be Dh2 per hour both in the morning and the evening, he said.

Bin Omair said the department is working to regulate parking in the emirate that better serves the general public .

Unifying parking fees will make it easier for motorists when they pay.

Bin Omair added that the department’s role is not limited to parking fees, but to provide new services to residents of the emirate.
