He overcome James Varghese 15-7, 15-3 in the final of this event organised by a group of badminton lovers playing regularly at the school's premises.
The event was sponsored by Sun and Sand Sports and supported by Galaxy Sports, Alphabetics Sports, Coconut Grove Restaurant, Right Source Advertising and Marketing, Fast Rack International, BTech Computer Institute, Dirham Tree Advertising, Diwan Jewels, Milco, Thani Technical, Al Thalib Shipping Co and Peter Prakash.
Moin displayed his allround agility to produce some splendid placing shots. He excelled at the nets, especially with some lovely drop shots. Though Varghese came back strongly at times, Moin maintained the lead consistently.
Moin also bagged the doubles title partnering James Varghese. They beat Lal Mani and Sunil 15-10, 15-4 in the final.
James Varghese added another crown by winning the mixed doubles with Dhanya Mathew, a student of International Education Institute, Dubai. They beat Shenoy and Mercy Mathew 15-5. 15-5.
The veteran singles final saw Lal Mani overcome a strong challenge from Mohammed Azam 15-12, 13-15, 15-13.
Mohammed Azam also won the veterans doubles title with Suresh Kumar. The pair beat Latheef and Rajan Jacob 8-15, 15-11, 17-16 in an exciting final.
Dr Ahmed Saad Al Shariff, Assistant Under Secretary for youth and education attended the prize distribution ceremony along with Dr Ibrahim Al Saqar, Director Department of Sports Activities and Scout.
They were accompanied by ministry of youth officials Ahmed Abdul Rahman and Nasser Al Rahma. Mrs Sethna, Principal of the Emirates English Speaking School (EESS) and Aqeel, Administrator of EEHS also attended the function.
J.K. Jalal, the chief organisers thanked the sponsors, players and officials for the success of the tournament.
