ADDCAP take inter-oil title

The ADDCAP won the 11th Inter-Oil Companies badminton tournament, organised by Total ABK at the ADCO Sports Complex recently.

The ADDCAP won the tournament defeating ADCO 3-1 in the final with skipper M.K. Najeeb and Alawi winning the crucial match against Shaju and Faisal of the ADCO 17-15, 15-6.

The ADDCAP team consisted of M.K. Najeeb (captain), A. Jathish, Merlyn Pires, S. Butti, M. Razi, Sajeeb, M. Salim, Shiraz, Abu Sali, Alawi and Nazim.

Eight teams took part in the tournament and the teams played in two different groups. The ADDCAP, the ADNOC, the ADCO and the ADGAS were in one group while the other group consisted of the ADMA-OPCO, the GASCO, the NDC/Total ABK and the ZADCO.

Normond Thierry, Total FINA-ELF General Manager gave the trophy to Darwish Al Qubaisy, the ADDCAP General Manager and M.K. Najeeb, team captain.
