The Abu Dhabi Cricket Club (ADCC) has entered into a three-year contract with Trans World International (TWI), naming them as the sole and exclusive commercial representative with respect to international cricketing events.

These events will be held at the upcoming Sheikh Zayed Cricket Stadium here. Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research and Chairman of the ADCC, signed the contract on Sunday night with Andrew Wildblood, TWI's Senior International Vice President.

The Zayed cricket stadium project has progressed under the ADCC, formed under the directives of His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces.

The TWI is the television arm of the International Management Group (IMG). Speaking to the press after signing the contract, Sheikh Nahyan said it was another step forward in bringing big-time cricket to the emirate of Abu Dhabi.

"We are thankful to President His Highness Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan who has ensured all sports activities to flourish in the UAE and has now added cricket to that list," Sheikh Nahyan said.
