The parks provide various amenities and facilities, including jogging tracks
The Department of Municipalities and Transport (DMT) has inaugurated 33 new parks in Mohamed bin Zayed City to enhance the quality of life for residents.
With various amenities and facilities, the parks promote healthier lifestyles and foster social cohesion, aligning with DMT's broader strategy to improve community well-being across the emirate.
These new green spaces are tailored to the needs and preferences of the local communities, featuring amenities such as picnic areas, shaded seating, children's play zones, fitness areas, jogging tracks, and various sports courts for paddle, basketball, volleyball, and badminton. The parks also include Multi-Use Game Areas (MUGA) and ensure accessibility for People of Determination, making them inclusive spaces for all.
Hamada Al Hashemi, Director of the Urban Design Division at DMT, said, “We are proud to open these public hubs that encourage active, healthy living and serve as communal spaces for fitness, leisure, and connection across Mohamed Bin Zayed City and Abu Dhabi. These projects ensure that everyone, regardless of age or ability, has access to quality recreational facilities.”
The park openings reflect DMT’s ongoing commitment to creating dynamic, inclusive spaces that foster health, recreation, community engagement, and connection across the emirate.
