Abu Dhabi: The Environment Agency – Abu Dhabi (EAD) has temporarily suspended operations at an industrial facility in Musaffah after it was found violating environmental regulations, including excessive air emissions.

The action follows a series of inspections and an investigation prompted by community complaints about strong odours and deteriorating air quality in the area. EAD confirmed that the facility’s activities had a measurable negative impact on local air quality.

Preserve environment

In a statement, the agency said it will continue regular monitoring and inspections to ensure compliance with environmental standards across the emirate.

“We call on all industrial facilities to fully comply with environmental standards – to protect public health and preserve the natural environment we all depend on,” EAD said.

The agency reaffirmed its commitment to maintaining a cleaner, safer, and more sustainable Abu Dhabi through strict enforcement and community engagement.
