A launch pad for kids

Mothers and Miracles is now in Dubai at the Penguin Club of Le Meridian Mina Seyahi Beach Resort and Marina through the efforts of Karen Pereira.

The Mothers and Miracles workshops are developed by an early childhood educationalist who began this programme for mothers to become actively involved in guiding their children at an early age to stimulate them through different activities. At present there are 14 franchised workshops running in South Africa, all run by teachers, psychologists and child development specialists.

Karen Pereira, a qualified modern dance and contemporary teacher who started the workshop here early this month, became interested in Mothers and Miracles when she used to take her godson to a workshop in South Africa. Living in Dubai for 19 months, she missed these workshops. She then decided to approach the Le Meridien Mina Seyahi with this concept and now works for them. She has started these workshops supported by the franchise in South Africa which is continually updating her with new programmes and ideas.

"The aim is not to raise geniuses, but rather to develop the foundation for well-rounded, socially adjusted, happy and successful children. This is the greatest gift you can give your child," she explained.These workshops are held on Saturday mornings and Sunday mornings and afternoons, and they offer a structured, interactive learning programme designed to stimulate children between three months and three years.

Developed by an early childhood educationalist, the programme focuses on intellectual, emotional, creative, physical and social development. The weekly workshop involves a variety of stimulating activities presented in a fun, relaxed and nurturing environment. The programme is designed so that each week's activities are different and as a parent you will be actively involved in each session, guiding and encouraging your child.
