Dubai: A team of volunteers has packed and distributed an impressive 1,200 iftar food boxes to Dubai labourers.
This marks the first week of the propertyfinder.ae Ramadan campaign, ‘Meals for Workers’, in partnership with Volunteer in Dubai.
City Chef in Al Quoz offered its facilities and services to supply the meals.
The meals were then transported to Al Sanad labour accommodation site in Dubai for distribution to workers.
The project aims to hand out around 1,000 meals at various accommodation sites each week during Ramadan and is being funded by cash donations from UAE real estate companies.
“We are delighted that the ‘Meals for Workers’ project has got off to such a great start and we’re really thankful to all the volunteers for giving their free time for this fantastic cause,” said Renan Bourdeau, managing director at propertyfinder.ae.
