Dubai: The short bouts of hazy weather and mist in the early morning is giving way to higher temperatures in the UAE, according to the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM).

Residents can expect temperatures to climb up to a high of 37° Celsius with the level of humidity to reach a maximum of 85 per cent along the coast.

The morning fog affected the western region the most, especially in Al Dhafrah area, with road visibility to less than 1,000 metres.

"Temperatures will increase [over the next two days] and the relative humidity will increase by night and early morning over some coastal areas,” said the NCM in its daily forecast on Sunday.

Mild southeasterly-northeasterly winds will blow across the UAE from 12-22km/h, which may reach up to 34km/h at times in the mountain regions of Ras Al Khaimah.

The weather until Tuesday will see a gradual formation of clouds, with temperatures in the Northern Emirates to become slightly cooler with a low of 16C.
