Dubai: Good bye winter, summer is well and truly here. With March 21 marking the first day of spring – the vernal equinox – from hereon in, the days are going to get longer as the UAE enters the summer months.

The weekly forecast by the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) has forecast humid conditions with a gradual rise in temperatures.

Today, the weather is expected to be humid, especially over coastal areas with a chance of fog formation that can affect visibility while driving. NCM posted videos on its Instagram account of heavy morning fog affecting roads in Abu Dhabi along with several warnings of fog formation in various parts of the UAE.


These conditions will continue into Friday, with a slight rise in temperatures expected. On Saturday, the amount of clouds is expected to increase along with another rise in temperatures. Light to moderate winds will offer some relief throughout the weekend.

The start of next week will will bring in humid nights and mornings over the wester coast, with slightly hazy conditions as northeasterly and southeasterly winds are expected to blow up dust. Some clouds are expected to appear in the eastern parts of the UAE by Sunday afternoon and temperatures will continue to rise.

On Monday, you can expect your day to be slightly warm and hazy as well, but the night is forecast to offer some relief, with ‘fair’ conditions forecast by the NCM.
