Dubia: That it will be hot and hazy during the daytime in the Arabian Peninsula is a given during this time of the year.

Temperature around Sharjah International Airport was 42.8° C at its peak on Sunday, while Dubai recorded 41.3°C. But at Mazeera, in the UAE's south-western interior, it was 50.4°C.

Meanwhile, forecasters at the National Centre for Meteorology (NCM) said the relative humidity will increase over the eastern coast on Monday morning.

By afternoon today, some clouds — which may be convective — may appear over eastern mountains.

The lowest temperature on Monday was 24.3° C recorded at 7.15 am in the country's east coast.

East-southeast winds are set become northwesterly by afternoon, with speeds of up to 30 km/h, reaching 38 km/h at times.

The NCM also predicted the sea will be slight to moderate in the Arabian Gulf and the Sea of Oman.
