Sharjah: A young Emirati man died on Friday night after his car veered off the road and overturned near Al Hileo bridge on Shaikh Mohammad Bin Zayed Road, an official said on Saturday.
Lt. Col. Mohammad Alai Al Naqbi, Director of Sharjah Traffic and Patrols Department, said police received a report about the accident on Friday around 9.30pm.
Four people including the driver were travelling in the same car at the time of the accident.
All of them are in their 20's.
One of them died of injuries while three passengers were taken to Al Qasimi Hospital in Sharjah and Khalifa hospital in Ajman.
Two of them reported to be in critical condition while the other sustained moderate injuires.
Police said the accident occurred due to speeding and sudden deivation which caused the car to overturn several times.
