Dubai: As the world's richest horse race opens on Saturday, the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has put in place a plan to ease the flow of traffic to the Meydan Racecourse.

The RTA said that the traffic plan will be in place from 3pm until 12am.

Racegoers can take any of the 50 buses that will be made available to transport them from the Meydan Racecourse to Burj Khalifa and Deira City Centre Metro Stations. 

The RTA said that 4,000 taxis will also be deployed at the venue. 

Parking card holders driving to the Meydan Racecourse can use any of the 6,000 designated parking spaces at the venue.

The RTA has also designated 5,000 more parking spaces near Nad Al Sheba mosque, where 100 buses will be used to transport people from Nad Al Sheba mosque parking to the Meydan Racecourse.
