Dubai: The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) in Dubai has added a new bus stop near the amnesty tents in Al Aweer to help ferry amnesty seekers for the next three months.
The UAE announced an amnesty period for illegal foreigners from August 1 to October 31. The amnesty gives them the chance to leave the country without paying their overstay fines or stay and modify their status.

In a statement sent to Gulf News, RTA said it has introduced an additional stop at the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs in Al Aweer on Route 11A starting August 1 until the end of the amnesty period.
Route 11A currently commences at Al Aweer and ends at Gold Souq while covering various residential and commercial areas, which include Al Khawaneej, Rashidiya metro station, Airport Terminal 1, Union metro station to name a few.
The frequency of the bus is every hour with the earliest bus commencing at 5.06am from Al Aweer Terminus.
