Dubai: Don’t be surprised if you spot the bright and lovable mascot of Dubai’s summer season, Modhesh, in the city.

The ever-smiling mascot is on a goodwill journey to spread fun, joy, and spirit of caring and sharing, among children, teenagers and families at various locations including schools, hospitals and malls.

Modhesh’s citywide tour features ‘Meet-and-Greet’ sessions and shows for schoolchildren and ‘children of determination’ as part of the run-up to the awareness of the 19th edition of Modhesh World.

The kid-friendly summer destination opens on June 7 and will run August 25 at the Dubai World Trade Centre. It is part of the summer festivals and attractions organised by the Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment (DFRE), an agency of the Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (Dubai Tourism).

Ahmad Al Khaja, CEO of DFRE, said a comprehensive and fun-filled programme to entertain fans across the city has been prepared ahead of the opening of Modhesh World.

“The city tour by Modhesh also reflects the importance of contributing to the community and we feel that Modhesh is the ideal ambassador to help us connect with the wider society making summer fun for all ages. The 19th edition of Modhesh World promises to take family fun to a completely new level and will reinforce its resounding success as a top destination for indoor summer fun!” he said.

Residents and fans of Modhesh can get their selfies with the mascot as it distributes complimentary tickets for visits to Modhesh World.

This year’s theme, ‘My Modhesh, My World’, will offer families and people of all ages the opportunity to go on a seamless journey of adventure and fun through a bigger line-up of events and activities including two additional halls for fun and games.
