Safe summer working practices highlighted

Abu Dhabi: More than 300 executives from the construction sector were recently familiarised with safe outdoor working practices in summer, the Abu Dhabi City Municipality announced on Wednesday.

During a day-long workshop organised by the municipality, they were taught how to recognise heat stress, and also trained in measures to prevent heat exhaustion and stress among outdoor workers. Officials explained the importance of using protective equipment, administering oral hydration solutions, and allowing for regular work breaks for those working outdoors in the summer. They also distributed more than 5,000 awareness brochures to attendees.
