Dubai: Shaikh Hamdan Bin Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of Dubai Executive Council, issued the Executive Council Resolution No (1) of 2018 approving the fees for some of the services provided by Dubai Corporation for Ambulance Services (DCAS).

The Resolution authorises DCAS to collect fees from the patient’s insurance company against its services as prescribed in Appendix (1) pertaining emergency services; and the patient, under any circumstance, does not bear any financial liability or copay against the services provided. Meanwhile, DCAS is obligated to provide ambulance services for patients that do not hold insurance or hold an expired insurance.

In case of traffic accidents, the ambulance service fees defined in this Resolution is not applicable and fees will be subject to the Executive Council Resolution No (2) of 2016, stipulating that Dubai Police and DCAS may collect Dh6770 per patient from the default party’s insurance company against the ambulance and medical evacuation services.

According to Appendix (1) of Resolution (1) of 2018, DCAS may collect Dh600 for providing basic ambulance service in the site without evacuation, Dh800 for providing basic ambulance service in the site with evacuation, Dh1000 for providing level 1 ambulance service and Dh1200 for providing level 2 ambulance service. Appendix (2) of the Resolution defines DCAS’s fees against providing training services or evacuation drills to non-government entities. 

This Resolution is valid from the date of publication and to be published in the Official Gazette.
