Mohammad praises Red Crescent efforts in helping Yemeni people
Abu Dhabi: His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, on Monday received Emirates Red Crescent’s (ERC) relief teams operating in Yemen.
The ERC teams were accompanied by Dr Hamdan Musalam Al Mazroui, Chairman of ERC, and Dr Mohammad Ateeq Al Falahi, ERC Secretary General.
“Humanitarian work and relief operations, carried out by the UAE in line with the directives of President His Highness Shaikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, exemplify an inherent and authentic approach deeply rooted in the policy embraced by the UAE, which has a rich record of humanitarian initiatives in various parts of the world,” Shaikh Mohammad said.
He praised the ERC’s efforts in helping the Yemeni people in different areas despite difficult conditions and challenges they face while performing their humanitarian duty.
Shaikh Mohammad called on ERC teams to exert more efforts in providing humanitarian assistance and setting up development projects to help alleviate the suffering of the Yemeni people.
He wished the ERC teams success in carrying out their future humanitarian assignments in delivering relief aid to the affected Yemenis and providing them with their essential needs.
