Dubai: His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, on Sunday approved a new human resources law for Dubai Government.

The law recognises the possibility of appointment on the basis of “remote work” and gives people of determination an additional bonuses.

It also grants employees five days instead of three days for mourning leave upon the death of a second-degree relative.

The newly approved law increases the annual leave from 22 to 25 days for employees of grade 8 to 11. Employees of grade 7 and below will receive 18 days of leave instead of 15 days.

The law also features a number of privileges including granting an annual travel allowance for the employee’s family members who are under the age of 21 instead of 18 years. The previous law limited travel allowance to three children while the new law abolishes that cap.
