RAK: Ras Al Khaimah Free Trade Zone (RAK FTZ) held an event yesterday to support the Ajman-based Al Ihsan Charity Centre’s ‘School Bag Campaign’ for orphans.

RAK FTZ, one of the fastest-growing and most cost-effective free trade zones in the UAE is supporting the educational needs of over 100 orphans aged between six and one, of different nationalities across the UAE.

The initiative, which was organised by RAK FTZ PR & Media and Human Resources departments, has provided the children with money as well as school supplies including stationery, notebooks, and other study materials.

Employees at the RAK FTZ have also distributed the bags to the orphans and have carried out a campaign to collect voluntary donations within the organisation.

Maryam Al Murshedi Al Shehhi, Deputy Director General of RAK FTZ, said: “At RAK FTZ, we have taken upon ourselves the responsibility to make a positive difference in the lives of the less fortunate people and increase their access to education.”
