Sana'a: Yemen vice president Abd Rabu Mansour Hadi announced on Wednesday night the birth of the first unity government that would government the trouble-littered country since the Yemen president Ali Abdullah Saleh signed the GCC peace deal in Riyadh on November 23.

Hadi, who was delegated to run the country during the 3-month transitional period, issued a degree unveiling line-up of the government Mohammed Basindawa, an opposition leader, which consists of 36 ministers, distributed equally between the government and the opposition. Three female ministers were elected.

In the new cabit, most of the ruling party ministers remained in their position while others were replaced by new blood. Ministers of Defense, Foreign Affairs, Endowment, Social Labor and Public Works and Roads were not changed.

As for the opposition, General Abdul Kader Gahtan, was named as interior minister, Sakher Ahmed Al-Wajeeh, as a minister of finance and Ali Ahmed Al-Amarani, minister of information .

Also the former member anti-corruption Committee Dr.Sa'ad Adden Bin Taleb was chosen as minister of Industry and Commerce. The females ministers are Dr.Amat Al-Razag Ali Hamad, Social Affairs and Labour(Saleh's party),the former spokeswoman of opposition Dr.Huria Mashhour was named as minister of Human rights and Dr.Jawhar'a Humoud Thabit, minister of the Cabinet Affairs(opposition figure).
