Sana'a: The war between Al Houthi rebels and the Yemeni government will end very soon after a deal was reached to end the 6-year conflict, official sources said on Thursday.

A national committee from the Yemeni parliament was formed to supervise the implementation of the six conditions set by the government for ending the war, the sources said.

This committee, which has also field subcommittees including members from Al Houthi side, will start its work immediately after the military operations stop.

The sources said the government will announce a permanent halt of the military operations in the coming few hours on all frontlines.

The sources said that the President Ali Abdullah Saleh is very keen to bring peace and save blood, and start the process of development, building and reconstruction.

Among the conditions for peace are: The opening the blocked roads, the rebels descending from the mountains and removing barricades, returning of the displaced people to their villages, and release of detainees.

Among the subcommittees, there will be a committee for treating the social and material impacts of the war. A general compromise, agreed upon by all, will be reached to prevent any retaliation or revenge attacks in the aftermath of the war.
