Mohammad Bin Zayed attends closing ceremony following 15 weeks of strong competition
Abu Dhabi General Shaikh Mohammad Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, attended the concluding ceremony of the fifth season of the Million's Poet at Al Raha Beach Theatre on Tuesday evening.
Also present were Shaikh Hazza Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, National Security Adviser, Shaikh Abdullah Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Foreign Minister, in addition to a huge audience of poetry lovers.
Shaikh Hazza honoured the five winners who were able to reach the final after a strong competition for more than fifteen continuous weeks.
The UAE's Rashid Ahmad Al Rumaithi won the first place and Dh5 million after polling 76 per cent of votes, thus winning the title of the Million's Poet. Emirati Ahmad Bin Hayay Al Mansouri finished second and took home Dh4 million in prize money.
Saudi poet Saif Bin Muhanna Al Sahli came third and won Dh3 million.
