Dubai: A fire that broke out around 6am yesterday morning at a food manufacturing unit in Dubai Industrial Area was brought under control more than four hours after it started, leaving a building destroyed but no injuries, according to Dubai Civil Defence.
Firefighters and vehicles from four stations, Manara, Barsha, Rashidiya and Quoz, took part in putting out the fire, which destroyed the building of the Do Freeze food manufacturing company, a civil defence spokesperson said.
The building consisted of six parts, with three storage rooms, as well as packaging, freezing and manufacturing units under one roof, which were all destroyed in various degrees, along with the contents of the store. The administration building next to it was saved.
